For centuries, Queen Beza has ruled her kingdom with the wisdom of immortality. Yet, now that her reign is threatened by a shadow from her past, she faces the most dangerous challenge of her life. The only one who knows the secret to preserving her eternal life, and bringing about new life, an old, forgotten friend, is missing, and Beza must embark on a perilous journey to find her before it's too late.
Meanwhile, Elia, a fierce and loyal daughter, is forced into a deadly game. Her father is held captive by a merciless enemy who demands one thing: the capture of Queen Beza. Torn between loyalty and the weight of her father's life, Elia must decide whether to follow the orders that could destroy the immortal queen or risk everything to protect both Beza and her father.
As their paths cross, the lines between friend and foe blur, and they must navigate a world of deception, magic, and ancient secrets to uncover the truth that could shatter everything they know.
In a land where immortality is both a blessing and a curse, only the strongest will survive the whispers of betrayal that echo through the ages.
Who will emerge victorious in the game of secrets, lies, and power?
A Storytelling Journey
I got an agent on my first try.
Some of you know that in addition to games and publishing, I also write my own books. That's how all of this started. Here's part of the story:
I wrote the first draft of Evertaster in 2008. It just spilled out of me onto the keyboard over the course of 90 days.
I was grinning at the end of some of my writing sessions, I was having so much fun. I revised it for a few months, then sent it out to agents and publishers.
Most rejected me with form letters. But there was one who didn't: Alyssa Henkin of Trident Media Group, a really great agency in New York, responded to my query and asked to see the manuscript. It turns out that Trident Media Group was the biggest agency in New York.
I know this doesn't happen for everybody. I consider myself very, very lucky, and also in the right place at the right time. But that moment started something.
I haven't posted much about my life as an author here. Maybe because being an author is sometimes it's just really hard to talk about, for several reasons. Most of my work revolves around publishing, animation and games these days.
But I'm going to start. Maybe some of you, my friends, will find this interesting. Especially in context of the other books we publish at Future House. It's part of the journey that led us here.
I am putting up a page where you can get autographed book packs for 75% off the normal price for the next two weeks. I'll ship it over to you and sign it too. I know there are friends out there who wanted to get the sequels or other books on the list. So here's an easy way to do it.
See you in the future.
