Yes! It’s true. The treasure might be worth $1,000, or $5,000, or $10,000 or more, depending on how many people sign up for the quest.
Just like Arthur pulling the sword from the stone.
I mentioned in my last email that we’re building an RPG at the game studio. Well, this is it.
We want to take the fun of fantasy and science fiction novels that we publish, and pack that storytelling into a game (I’ve been writing the quests all week).
We want you to live an adventure story.
The mobile game that will lead you to the prize will be totally free to download and play.
Imagine Pokémon Go meets the Legend of Zelda. But our own original story. You’ll battle monsters, collect swords of legend, and defeat bosses to gain clues that will lead you to the real-world treasure.
It’s the ultimate summer adventure!
I have always wanted to turn the world into an adventure game. My game dev studio has the chops to do it (we helped Niantic, the makers of Pokemon Go build Peridot; we helped build a Transformers game for Dave & Busters, etc). So we’re building this mobile game that will lead to the ultimate prize hidden somewhere in the wilderness.
Wouldn’t finding real treasure be amazing? You’ll become the hero of the story.
Our whole studio is all-in on making this game incredible for all the players. So we want beta testers (you!) to be part of the first hunt.
We’re working on the programming and gameplay right now. It’s already well underway. I’ll post pics as we make progress. The quest starts sometime this summer.
If you want in on it, just click the button below and we’ll send you an email when we launch. Also, the quest is better with teams of 4 friends, so forward to a friend or share this post. The more that sign up, the bigger the treasure!

It’s like geo-caching, but with monsters!
Prepare to build your avatar, explore strange lands, battle monsters, and find the treasure!
I’ll post more updates as well as hints as the game develops and we prepare for launch.
See you in the future,
